Potato Genomics and Breeding

Welcome to the Potato Genomics and Breeding lab, based at the University of Florida. The program is co-led by Dr. Marcio Resende, Dr. Lincoln Zotarelli, and Dr. Leo Hoffman and focuses on the genetic improvement of potato. The overall research goals of our program are to characterize and understand the genetic mechanisms underlying traits relevant to potato production, and to identify DNA variants that can be introduced into elite lines to improve these traits.
